Based on the Artist patch "Warm Sweet Solo" (#62), this patch was my attempt to get a good distorted lead sound with my Ampulator. It'll probably sound good thru your normal amp though. The reason this is called Tom's Morse Solo is because I'm Tom and I wrote it and because I developed it whilst listening to the Steve Morse "Stressfest" album. In this format, it uses the Saturated Tube setting but MAY sound better using Distorted Tube depending on your mood and how your guitar rig works. Anyway, I tried to come as close as I could to the tone on the tune "Stressfest." I discovered that Morse's tone has more to do with his guitar and, of course, the way he plays. You won't sound anything at all like Steve unless you can play Celtic-inspired licks and absurdly fast scales that cover two octaves in .75 seconds. Oh... and you have to PICK EVERY SINGLE NOTE!!! Steve's technique is WAY more impressive than I thought BEFORE I tried to play along with him.
